Team "Running for Aidan" is named in honor of our son Aidan Jackson who passed away in 2010 due to a fatal kidney defect. We found out about his condition mid-way through our pregnancy, that Aidan, although healthy inside my womb, would not survive birth. We opted to continue his life for as long as God and my body would allow and not abort. Aidan was born on July 27th. That day was the most wonderful and heartbreaking of my life. On that day we promised Aidan that we would live our lives in a way that would make him proud to call us Mom and Dad by bringing love into a world that so desperately needs it. Part of that promise has involved supporting charities whose purposes are to better the lives of children (born and unborn) in need as well as their families and so on Aidan's birthday our "TEAM" was born.
From 2011 through 2014 we raised money for other organizations. In only 3 years we raised just under $50,000 for various children's charities such as the March of Dimes, Children's Hospital, Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, St. Jude, Make A Wish Foundation and numerous other non-profits dedicated to helping children and their families.
But we wanted to do more.
We love, and still continue to support those organizations, but we wanted to provide tangible assistance to the families around us. To see the joy in the eyes of the people who desperately need it. So, in 2015 we filed and were approved for our 501(c)3 status.
We provide families of North Texas with the following:
HOPE - Care packages made especially for NICU parents and babies
JOY - Care packages made especially for PICU or older children enduring long term care or cancer treatment.
LOVE - Memory and care packages made especially for parents who have lost a child at birth.
Financial Assistance for Disadvantaged Families for:
Medical Costs and Co-Pays
Funeral & Burial Costs
As a family we have Hoped for a miracle, experienced the Joy of a child's birth and know the Love that endures even after loss. We hope that in giving to families who are going through what we have that we can bring honor to our son Aidan and comfort to others.

Team Running for Aidan is a registered Texas Non-Profit Corporation and a Federal 501(c)3 public charity. We do not pay salaries to our executives or members. 100% of all donations go towards funding the mission.
